Young W. Ryu, Esq.

Mr. Young W. Ryu is a nationally respected litigator who has represented countless employees in complex cases and built a distinguished career advocating for those whose voices are often overlooked. He has developed particular expertise in large‑scale matters involving consumer class actions, false advertising, unfair competition, consumer protection claims, and wage‑and‑hour class actions. Over the years, Mr. Ryu has successfully litigated numerous consumer and employment class actions and has been appointed Class Counsel in multiple State and Federal cases across the United States. Through these appointments, he has represented thousands of consumers and employees and obtained judgments and settlements with a total economic value exceeding tens of millions of dollars.

Mr. Ryu began his legal career on the national stage as a Legal Fellow to former New York Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton. After graduating from law school, he was appointed as an Assistant Legal Officer at the International Criminal Court in The Hague, where he contributed to matters of global significance. He later joined one of the largest defense firms in the country, gaining invaluable insight into corporate litigation strategy before ultimately founding his own firm in Los Angeles in 2011. Under his leadership, LOYR, APC has grown into one of the fastest‑growing employment litigation law firms in the United States, and Mr. Ryu has been repeatedly selected to the prestigious Super Lawyers list of Southern California—an honor reserved for the top attorneys in the region and a reflection of his sustained excellence in the field.

In addition to his litigation work, Mr. Ryu is committed to serving the community. He regularly volunteers at free legal consultation clinics for seniors in downtown Los Angeles, ensuring that vulnerable individuals have access to meaningful legal guidance. He is happily married and the proud father of two children, grounding his professional life in the same values of integrity, service, and dedication that define his work on behalf of employees and consumers nationwide.
